: :Collides first full-length studio release since 2003 s Some Kind of Strange Special guests on this CD include Danny Carey (Tool) on drums on 4 tracks, and Dean Garcia (Curve) on bass. Collide return once again...luring you into their deep, dark, smoky den. Two Headed Monster hits with a slam. The alchemical blend that they concoct feels dark and surreal, sensual and twisted...a pure delight for the senses. Your body and soul suspended, you are absorbed into their world. lt ...

by: Ministry

: :Ministry's followup to The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste makes use of the same aggressive approach but sinks to a darker and fiercer level. Chokehold opener 'N.W.0.' uses tape loops of then-President Bush calling for a 'New World 0rder,' which Ministry delivers by infusing their industrial savvy with machine-gunned, thrash metal guitars, relentless beats, and vocals that run the gamut from deranged auctioneer of the damned ('Jesus Built My Hotrod') to terrifying screams ('Just 0ne Fix'). Fast and furious, ...

: :A crazy experiment in music-industry manipulation, the KLF remain one of dance's more groundbreaking acts. Having already scored hits as the Jams and the Timelords, Bill Drummond and Jimi Cauty christened the KLF with Who Killed the Jams? Though they were originally considered part of England's acid-house scene, the KLF's high-energy mix of disco-diva vocals, rapping, breaks, and samples was truly club-friendly pop. The White Room contains three of the group's greatest moments, the top 10 hits 'What Time ls Love?,' ...

by: Ministry

: :This was the record that definitively turned Ministry from an electro-industrial dance band into a cutting-edge metal act. With distorted vocals, pounding drum machines, and ripping guitar chords, songs like 'Thieves' and 'Burning lnside' merged computer technology with metallic riffology, setting the pace for dozens of second-rate computer nerds to follow. --Jon Wiederhorn

The KX-TGA270S from Panasonic is an add-on extension handset designed for use with KX-TG2700S, KX-TG2720S, KX-TG2730S, or KX-TG2740S Expandable Cordless Systems. By utilizing the 2.4 GHz frequency band, as well as Frequency Hopping Digital Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology, the KX-TGA270S provides crisp, clear reception even at significant distance from the base.

An illuminated keypad makes dialing easy in the dark, while a headset jack gives you the option of hands-free operation. Four-way conferencing allows you to talk with multiple people, while a two-way intercom lets you communicate with family and friends near the other phone.

With call waiting, you won't miss any important calls, while Caller ID (with subscription to telephone company services) means you can avoid those calls you would rather miss. A great way to expand your current Panasonic phone system, the KX-TG2700S also features six selectable ring tones as well as a handset volume control. Panasonic also provides a one-year parts and labor warranty.

Wonderful Town is a terrifically fun musical, but do you really need this recording? The answer will be yes if you fall within one of these two categories: (a) You collect recordings of the show and must own them all or (b) you're a huge fan of Brooke Shields. The actress replaced Donna Murphy in the lead role of the 2003 Broadway revival, and did a creditable job bringing Ruth Sherwood to gawky life during her five-month run. Shields performs over the same instrumental tracks you can hear on the revival's prime recording. (Jennifer Hope Wills replaces Jennifer Westfeldt as Eileen Sherwood; the rest of the cast is unchanged.) From a purely vocal point of view, the switch wasn't an upgrade--Murphy is among Broadway's best stylists after all--though Shields is far from being an embarrassment. She may not have the technique, but her comic gusto is winning. Still, this CD remains for completists only. --Elisabeth Vincentelli
